Being an artist in today’s time is a great deal because people worldwide appreciate your creations. Technology and social media have helped people know more about artists from different parts of the world. One such artist is Shreena Patel, a phenomenal abstract artist.
From a very young age, Shreena was amazed by paintings and colours. At the age of 4, she knew she wanted to be a painter. It was a dream job and my biggest passion. As an adult, Patel made sure she achieved her dream. She studied at Brunel University and the University of Arts London and did fine art, graphics, and multimedia technology & design.
Artist Shreena Patel has accomplished a lot of things in 2022. She painted over 200 Diya lamps in one week at the Neasden Temple for Diwali. She even painted a 120x100cm Portrait of Pramukh Swami Maharaj titled ‘Divine Joy’ for the 100th birth anniversary. Her portrait was featured in front of the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan.
Another great achievement for Shreena was selling a bespoke commission to an influential Arab family in Saudi. She shares, “It was for a very influential family. The artwork was a 100x100cm Arabic calligraphy in my signature style dripping in 24 carot gold and Swarovski crystals, which they wanted to keep in the reception of their executive office for luck and blessings.”
Every artist reflects their experience, talent and inspiration. Shreena’s work speaks of serenity, peace and beauty. When asked what is her source of inspiration, the painter shares, “My main inspiration is God! I’m very religious and I paint from the heart. Every stroke is made with love. I’m also inspired by nature and natural patterns from bark, flowers and leaves.”
