Silent protest by former DHD Chief by tonsuring his head at Haflong

 Haflong  :Demanding immediate arrest of culprit involved in Sontosh Hojai and proper implementation of Memorandum of Settlement signed between government of India, government of Assam and both the faction of Dima Halam Daogah, Dilip Nunisa, former Chairman of Dima Halam Daogah and President, Halali Progressive Welfare Society staged silent protest in front the office of the Dima Hasao Deputy Commissioner on Monday.

Nunisa along with his former colleagues and members of the Halali Progressive Welfare Society along with the civil societies of Dima Hasao have been demanding immediate arrest or action of one Surjyakanta Morang, DSP who has been accused by the wife of Santosh Hojai.

In protest against the government’s indifferent attitude towards the people of Dima Hasao he also tonsured his head in presence of huge gatherings.

Talking to media Dilip Nunisa said many more incidents of such killings were happened and voice of Dima Hasao people were not heard by the authority concerned therefore the people of the district have been compelled to launch strong agitation in future in demands of justice  etc.
