The 2nd Chevrolet Global Indian Music Awards (GIMA) powered by LAVA Music Phones saw Shaan take on a new avatar.  The acclaimed singer turned actor regaled the fraternity on the GIMA stage as he donned a number of different get-ups to represent some iconic Bollywood characters.

The singer proved himself as a worthy actor as he played doppelganger to many of your favorite onscreen charaters like Hrithik Roshan in Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Shahrukh Khan in Main Hoon Naa, Aamir Khan in 3 Idiots and Ajay Devgn in Singham. Shaan also worked his musical magic as he took Shahrukh’s Ra.One hit Chammal Challo and gave it a Bengali twist.

As the first-of-its-kind Awards Ceremony completely dedicated to honoring music, the Chevrolet GIMA encompasses all facets of music in India. This year GIMA’s were given out in over 31 awards across a plethora of categories including folk and pop-rock genres. Priyanka Chopra delivered a special performance to a medley of songs by music’s current leading women, Usha Uthupp, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Sunidhi Chauhan and Rekha Bhardwaj all of whom joined her onstage as she danced to their famous hits.

Ra One sensation, Shahrukh Khan and debutant, Ranveer brought down the house as they danced to Chaiya-Chaiya, while Sunidhi Chauhan and Shaan regaled the audience along with the two box-office hit-makers. King Khan danced to ‘Criminal’ and revelled in the music, saying, “I am here to convey our thanks to the music industry on behalf of the film industry. If our name is known globally, it is because of the music industry. I want to say that we are there because you are there.” The Chevrolet GIMA Awards powered by LAVA Music Phones airs on COLORS at 7pm, this Sunday – the 30th Of October.
