  • Six cops from Northeast bag President’s Police medal for distinguished service

    Guwahati : Six police personnel who have bagged the prestigious medal are from Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.Six cops from four northeastern States bagged the prestigious President’s Police medal for distinguished service this year. Inspector General of Manipur Police (Headquarters) Elangbam Priyokumar Singh bagged the prestigious police medal for distinguished service.Moirangthem Ibobi Singh, a Subedar of 6 India Reserve Battalion in Manipur has also been selected for the President’s Police medal for distinguished service. In Meghalaya, DIG (Training) Addison Roy Mawthoh and DIG (Administration) Seminar Singh Kynjing bagged the President’s Police medal for distinguished service.Deputy Superintendent of Mizoram Police, Malsawma Royte has also been selected for the prestigious President’s Police medal. Royte was working with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Mizoram Police. In Tripura, Jitendra Debbarma, Commandant of the battalion at Khowai in the state, has also bagged the prestigious President’s police medal.
