Skye Air & DroneAcharya under Flipkart Air consortium kicks off its drone based logistic transportation for delivery of vaccines in Telangana

– Plans to conduct over 60 deliveries in the next 1 week delivering vaccines in the State of Telangana

New Delhi : Skye Air Mobility, as a part of the Flipkart Air consortium has kick started its delivery demonstrations for the Government of Telangana’s prestigious “Medicines from the Sky” Project. Like the earlier trial runs, these drone trials are being conducted in real-time with the delivery of real vaccines and medicines to hard-to-reach areas.

These BVLOS demonstration have started on 27thSeptember in Vikarabad, Telangana and shall continue till 3rd October, during which several healthcare related use cases will be showcased by the Flipkart Air consortium. The consortium comprises of Flipkart, Skye Air, DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations, Altitude Angel and Alternative Global (in partnership with Bagmo).

The consortium led by Flipkart Internet, would see Skye Air and DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations leading the operations.

Flipkart is the leading Indian e-commerce company, headquartered in Bangalore, Karnataka and have been significantly involved in innovating new business solutions.

Giving a detailed insight into the ongoing trials, Mr. Swapnik Jakkampudi, Co-Founder, Skye Air Mobility said, “It’s been a fabulous journey so far for us, Skye Air One has proven to be the most reliable drone in India by completing 125 deliveries in real case scenarios. We are very excited to partner with Flipkart and contribute in this beginning of a longer journey. In the next 1 week, we anticipate to complete over 60 deliveries and test multiple use cases in the healthcare sector.”
