  • Smriti Irani hits out at Congress for backing those who raise anti-India slogans

    Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Smriti Irani today hit out at Congress alleging that the party stood with those forces who had raised anti-India slogans.

    Addressing media in New Delhi, Mrs Irani said, the BJP-led government at the Centre has resolved to make a strong and resurgent India. She alleged that the Congress leaders supporting those who raised anti India slogans.

    Mrs Irani also listed out the achievements of Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Protsahan Yojana and Ayushman Bharat Yojana and lauded the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She said, under Rojgar Protsahan Yojana, one core people have got employment in formal sector which is a big achievement. She said, under Ayushman Bharat Yojana, eight lakh people have been benefited.

    Mrs Irani said, the scheme has been not only appreciated in India but International Agency like World Health Organisation have also praised it.

    When asked about the  removal of  four nuns  form  the convent in Kerala’s Kottayam district who protested against rape-accused Bishop Franco Mulakkal, Mrs Irani sought to know  the steps  Kerala government has  taken to ensure the secuirty of nuns.
