New Delhi : To support social causes and create a stronger corporate conscience, Snapdeal today announced
Snapdeal Care has currently partnered with three NGOs – Akshay Patra, Magic Bus Foundation and Prayas Juvenile Aid Centre. These NGO’s are established organizations that have been working for the children from underprivileged backgrounds.
Talking about the Snapdeal Care Platform Kunal Bahl, Co-founder and CEO, Snapdeal said “We have been working to create life changing experiences for our buyers and sellers. We are now expanding our eco system to touch the lives of more people across the country including the less fortunate. With Snapdeal Care, our customers can now make a difference to someone’s life with just a couple of clicks. Through this initiative, we want to spread the message that even a small contribution by anyone can make a difference and bring a smile to somebody’s face.”
Customers can contribute to Snapdeal Care from across the country and these will be shipped to each NGO’s nearest collection-centre across 18,000 pin-codes in India. For example,customers can purchase sports goods to be donated to a home for underprivileged children in Andhra Pradesh, buy blankets, lamplights, tents to be shipped by Snapdeal to a region struck by a natural calamity, purchase notebooks, blackboards, markers to be shipped to a school in Assam or rehabilitation assistance products to be shipped to a senior citizen home.
The company plans to partner with more such credible establishment who work on other UN Millennium Development Goals. Snapdeal Care will continue to grow the network of NGO partners that focus on social causes like eradicating hunger, promoting education and sports, environmental sustainability, nutrition and sanitation.
