  • ROCKLAND, MA:The South Shore Chamber of Commerce (www.southshorechamber.org) announces the launch of its Hello! South Shore campaign to assist in the regional recovery from the economic impact of COVID-19.

The project encourages residents to think of “local” as more than their own neighborhood or town and promote broader exploration in the region. Through an exciting and robust marketing campaign spotlighting many excursions across the 25 cities and towns throughout the South Shore, the project will give local businesses, organizations and events the much needed support they deserve.

As a result of receiving a Regional Pilot Project Grant through the Massachusetts Office of Business Development, the chamber is partnering with local towns, businesses and organizations to create a series of 15 excursions that will begin on June 18th and run throughout the summer.

The chamber has also partnered with local talent to promote the campaign. The Hollywood Agency of Hingham is directing the creative and marketing campaign for the initiative, Hawks Visuals of Hanover provided all photography,  PR First of Hanover is publicizing the initiative and Main Street Media Group of Hingham  is handling social media.

The excursions will spotlight arts, culture, history, outdoors, food, shops, recreation, holiday events, farmers’ markets and neighborhoods across the South Shore. Some events require registration. For additional details and information please visit www.hellosouthshore.com.

“We are excited to harness the talent of our region in promoting all that we enjoy about living and working on the South Shore,” said Peter Forman, president and CEO of South Shore Chamber. “We are fortunate to have so many interesting sites, restaurants, art and history in our own backyard and we invite everyone to participate and enjoy summer excursions.”
