Kozhikode: AI Trials, a sports tech startup headquartered in Kozhikode, has successfully secured investment from 33 Holdings, a prominent global investment firm. This Malayali startup, poised to revolutionise the football sector, had previously received funding from Qatar Bank. Following that, Mohammed Miandad V.P., owner of Kochi-based 33 Holdings, made this latest investment. While the exact investment amount remains undisclosed by both parties, the new investment will be used to expand operations into markets such as Europe and Africa. AI Trials is an innovative platform that leverages Artificial Intelligence to identify young talent in football. The minds behind this concept are Malayalis Mohamed Asif and Zoheb P.K
The aim is to provide world-class evaluations and opportunities for young football players. The platform’s operational method overcomes the limitations of traditional talent identification by evaluating player performance based on data. Players from any part of the world can upload videos of their performances to the platform, analyse their performance with AI assistance, and directly connect with professional clubs. Furthermore, a unique feature of this platform is its ability to empower scouts and academies to utilise data-driven tools for talent discovery without geographical boundaries. The platform assesses player abilities like speed and stamina using advanced AI performance analysis.
“Our goal was to create a platform that integrates Artificial Intelligence into scouting trials to enhance efficiency and accuracy. The investment from 33 Holdings is a significant endorsement of our vision. This will help provide global opportunities for young talents in Kerala,” said the co-founders of AI Trials.
Mohammed Miandad V.P., Chairman and MD of 33 Holdings, stated that AI Trials’ concept has the potential to revolutionise the global sports tech sector, and their data-driven scouting method will bring significant changes to the world of football.
