SPR City Customers interact with the ever popular Chennaiyin FC players

Chennai:  SPR City today organized a fun filled meet and greet session for over 100 of their customers with the ever popular Chennaiyin FC players at the newly launched The Shri Ram Universal School premises at SPR City. Anirudh Thapa, Germanpreet Singh and Nerijus Valskis from Chennaiyin FC spent more than two hours at SPR City. The players were given a tour of the residential suites and the school after which they settled down for an engaging session with the assembled crowd. During the interaction with customers at SPR City, the three footballers answered varied questions on the game, their personal likes and how much they had come to love the city of Chennai.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. E R Sainath, Exec Vice President Sales, Marketing & CRM said, “We are proud to be one of the sponsors of Chennaiyin FC. The energy of the players is infectious, and we wanted our customers to have a flavor of what we have in store with a series of promotional events we are planning with the team. Our association with Chennaiyin FC runs deep and we have exciting news to announce shortly. SPR City is a unique project and our approach to this landmark construction has been unique in several ways. We have lined-up a series of such cross promotional events that will ensure that an SPR customer will have a fun filled experience at SPR City.”

Anirudh Thapa, one of the best young Indian footballers at the moment, a regular India international said, “I am happy to be here. It’s nice knowing our sponsors and I am quite impressed with the project as I see it.” He also briefly touched on his journey with the team and shared his excitement on being awarded the Emerging Player of the Year Award for 2017-18 season.

The hard and energetic midfielder, Germanpreet Singh said, “Hard work is what brought me here. I am proud of my efforts at my team and it’s great to be a part of a successful organization. Here too at SPR City, I can see a great deal of effort that has gone into creating a classic project. My best wishes to the promoters.”

Lithuanian International Nerijus Valskis, the Chennaiyin FC center forward and in running for the ISL Golden Boot for most goals scored in a season was most excited to interact with customers at the venue. “The passion for the game of football is very high in India and the crowd at SPR is very knowledgeable about the game. I am very happy to be here.”
