    • Indian travellers can avail ‘Buy one get one free’ ticket offer of SriLankan Airlines

Hyderabad: Effective 1st October, Sri Lanka has opened its borders to the world for tourist arrivals. As per the new guidelines, the island nation will now be accepting fully vaccinated travellers from all countries including India. All travellers arriving in Sri Lanka, who are fully vaccinated and hold a negative PCR from point of origin will not be required to do PCR test on arrival in Colombo and can commence their travel & holiday in Sri Lanka.

To make the most out of this announcement, Indian travellers can also avail the special “buy one and get one free” offer that was introduced by SriLankan Airlines last month. The offer is valid for all the seating categories and is applicable on the bookings made for flights between India & Colombo for leisure travel. This offer will be valid on bookings made until 31st October 2021 and through SriLankan Holidays or SriLankan Airlines website.

This special offer has been timed with announcement by the Government of Sri Lanka to reopen the island nation in promoting tourism sector. Accordingly, Sri Lanka is welcoming fully vaccinated Indian tourists including Covaxin and there will be no quarantine for travellers. One just needs to be fully vaccinated, with the second shot taken at least 14 days before the trip.

The announcement offer would enable the India leisure travellers to explore numerous attractions available in Sri Lanka after the country relaxed the travel regulations to the tourists. The discounted air tickets together with special incentives offered by the Sri Lankan industry partners would indeed influence Indian holidaymakers to choose Sri Lanka as the ideal & most easily accessible destination to travel.

Currently SriLankan Airlines is flying from 9 cities in India, which includes Chennai, Trichy (Tiruchirappalli), Madurai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Trivandrum, Kochi, New Delhi and Mumbai. The “buy one and get one free” is expected to draw an impressive number of travellers from India to Sri Lanka at a time when global travel is still restricted.
