SRK does a ‘Dabangg’ again at Chevrolet GIMA

by NR INDRAN / INT

The Chevrolet GIMA Awards powered by Lava Music Phones shone with the light of a hundred stars as the biggest names put on their dancing shoes and showcased their vocal chords. And no light shone as bright as that of Shahrukh Khan, who entertained the audience with his wit and charm as the Awards ceremony unfolded at the Kingdom of Dreams.

With the greats of music turning out on the Chevrolet GIMA red carpet the excitement was palpable and the fun never stopped.  Shahrukh Khan performed the iconic ‘Chaiya-Chaiya’ alongside Ranveer Singh, danced to the Ra One hit ‘Criminal’ and surprisingly, the signature step of the hit-song, Dabangg. Already having taught the step to an audience of thousands at the 12th IIFA Awards in Toronto Canada earlier this year, the King Khan took to the GIMA stage and gave the audience another performance of the famous Dabangg step in step with Salman Khan’s brother Arbaaz Khan, the producer of the film and the music director duo Sajid-Wajid and Lalit Pandit while the Dabangg lot were receiving the Chevrolet GIMA for Best Film Music Album of the year.

Touched by this gesture, known-Salman-admirer, Sajid claimed that he belonged to the Dabangg company saying, “I belong to the Dabangg company, but Shahrukh bhai I love your Chammak Challo, but Chamak Challo, sabko chodo, mere saath challo”, to which the King Khan replied, “Thank you Sajid for loving me so much. Bas tumhara hi pyaar chaihiye tha duniya mein. Magar Munni ki baat kuch aur hai dost.” Chevrolet GIMA powered by LAVA Music Phones will showcase many more exciting moments with the biggest musical personalities and Bollywood stars, on Colors at 7pm, Sunday, the 30th of October.
