Marietta GA : Cobb Life Magazine and the Marietta Daily Journal have named Sterling Estates senior communities to its 2020 “Best of Cobb” list. Sterling Estates of East Cobb was voted Best Assisted Living Facility in Cobb County, while its sister property Sterling Estates of West Cobb was voted Best Retirement Living Community. The West Cobb community’s The Grand at Sterling Estates was also named Best Memory Care Facility. This is the second year for the senior living communities to make the “Best of Cobb” list; in 2019, West Cobb was voted the Best Retirement Community in Cobb County and East Cobb was voted Best Assisted Living Community in Cobb County.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has presented significant safety and health challenges worldwide, but more so to our senior population,” said Sterling Estates Managing Partner Mike Brown.  “At our two Sterling Estates communities, we feel we are uniquely suited to meet these challenges, while continuing to keep our residents socially engaged and physically active. Even in the face of this pandemic, our residents are choosing community over staying in their homes alone. We are grateful for the continuing recognition of our efforts by ‘Best of Cobb’ voters.”

Over 460,000 votes were cast in the various categories in the “Best of Cobb” contest – twice the number from last year’s contest. The winners were announced online and in a special issue of Cobb Life in March; due to COVID-19 concerns, the Best of Cobb Celebration has been rescheduled to Thursday, September 3, 2020, 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Jim Miller Park. Sterling Estates of West Cobb is located at 3165 Dallas Highway, and Sterling Estates of East Cobb is located at 4220 Lower Roswell Road, both in Marietta.
