India : STMicroelectronics Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, the Singapore subsidiary of the global semiconductor leader serving customers across the spectrum of electronics applications, announced today the appointment of World Peace Industrial (WPI) Group as a regional distributor for the Greater China & South Asia Region. WPI is a Taiwan-based company that has been one of the most aggressively growing players, and as part of WPG Holdings, a leading distributor in Asia and among the top three distributors worldwide.

The electronics industry in Asia Pacific is continuously evolving, with local companies growing rapidly and the strengthening of product design and innovation in diverse locations across the region, particularly within Taiwan and China. This partnership of ST and WPI will provide even stronger support to the local design market.

ST’s product portfolio, which is one of the broadest worldwide, provides a great opportunity for smaller volume customers with the mass market to consolidate their purchases and technical relationships with a single strong supplier partner. WPI has an extensive customer base that will benefit from this new partnership.
