Chennai – Stonex India is delighted to announce its participation in Madras Art Weekend 2024, a prestigious event that celebrates the finest in art and culture. As part of the celebration, Stonex will showcase its acclaimed documentary series, Mastery – Journey of Excellence, streaming on Hotstar. This series pays tribute to the masters of the Seven Fine Arts, recognizing their exceptional contributions and dedication to their craft.
Since its inception in 2022, Madras Art Weekend has grown into a marquee event, bringing together prominent names in the South Indian art world. At this year’s event, Stonex India curated a special screening of Mastery, featuring Chennai’s celebrated artists—Benitha Perciyal, Meenakshi Srinivasan, and Sandeep Narayan.
The screening was followed by an engaging panel discussion offering a profound exploration of creativity, excellence, and the relentless pursuit of perfection.
The artists shared personal insights into their journeys, giving the audience an intimate look into the processes that define their artistic mastery. The discussion culminated with an unforgettable performance by acclaimed Carnatic vocalist Sandeep Narayan, whose soul-stirring music embodied the essence of the series and left the audience spellbound.
In an exciting reveal, Stonex India shared a glimpse of its ambitious Design District, set to launch in New Delhi in 2025. This first-of-its-kind space will serve as a catalyst for creativity and appreciation in natural stone and design. Inspired by the iconic Rosetta Stone, the Design District will feature:
• Dynamic installations inspired by the mudras of Indian dance forms
• Masterpieces by leading global artists and designers in natural stone
• Seven iconic art galleries, each designed to evoke human emotions
• Immersive sensory experiences that blend art, culture, and craftsmanship
