  • Child Rights and You (CRY) one of India’s leading NGOs working in the domain of child rights in association with Premier Badminton league organized an exciting event  for 50 underprivileged children from their project areas. The children not only got an opportunity to meet the players but also engage in friendly games with some of the most well renowned sporting individuals from the field.

CRY believes in every child’s right to a happy childhood and sports as an integral part of their development. Partnering with PBL for the third time displays CRY’s conviction to promote the cause as well as build the potential of children through sports

“Sport not only contributes in the all round development of the child but also is a great facilitator for them to be in schools, encouraging them to continue education. This is an effective way of preventing child labour and marriage. It is a pleasure to be associated with PBL as we share the same vision of a happy childhood and their ‘Right-to-play’. From our experience we have seen sports as one of the biggest influencers in a child’s life. PBL is a great forum to build awareness on some of the most critical issues in the domain of child rights,” said Suma Ravi- Regional Director (South), CRY

PBL players are playing and advocating for every child’s right to be free from the burden of child labour, dropping out of school, child marriage and propagate the child’s right to have a happy childhood. The cause of children has found its voice through the luminaries in the badminton field.
