Mumbai : TABcab, Mumbai’s largest phone fleet cab service with 2800 cabs, has announced a reduction to the pricing of its premier cab service- ‘TABcab Gold’. Initially launched at the price of Rs. 23/- per km TABcab Gold uses the highend SX4 sedan to give its consumers the feel of luxury and added legroom. This service will be available to all TABcab customers at the same price as a regular TABcab; i.e. Rs. 20/- per km for a year.

Launched in July 2012 ‘TABcab Gold’ has found few takers and has led TABcab to believe that Mumbai is not yet ready for Luxury… or that Mumbai is not ready to pay more for a premier cab ride. In order to test this conclusion TABcab has decided to offer the services of TABcab Gold at regular fares for a year.

Speaking about the decision Mr.PrasenjeetBagchi, Chief Marketing Officer, TABcab said “TheTABcab Gold was a segment we launched with the assumption that a premium taxi service was the need of this City. Metered by the RTO and calibrated at Rs. 23/- per km TABcab Gold found few takers and hence we have decided to reduce the price for a year and let the consumers experience premium at no extra cost. “

TABcab Gold operates 500 premium SX4 cabs and these will be available at regular prices.
