  • Taj West End, Bangalore Welcomes Prime Minister Borut Pahor

    Bengaluru:  — Taj West End, Bangalore has historically played the perfect host to the world’s eminent leaders, celebrities, and royalty. The hotel recently added another impressive name to its list of distinguished guests as the Slovenian Prime Minister, Borut Pahor, stays at the Taj West End in Bangalore. The Prime Minister is on an official tour in India. He will stay in the Tata Suite till tomorrow and will address CII Karnataka members and sign few MOU’s in Bangalore. The Prime Minister is accompanying high level ministerial and business delegation to the State.

    CII-Karnataka and the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in New Delhi jointly held an exclusive interaction – ‘Slovenia – India: Coming Together’ at the hotel. Prime Minister Borut Pahor received a grand welcome at the hotel as the hotel staff presented the traditional Karnataka shawl amid showering of petals. Specially prepared for the moment ― “Rose Petal Ice Tea” as the welcome drink followed by Slovenian favourite desserts Potica ― a pastry consisting of a sweet yeast dough that is rolled out very thin, spread with a nut paste, then rolled up into a log, baked, and sliced crosswise with fillings of ground walnuts or poppy seeds, Burek ― A meat, cheese or vegetable pie made with flaky filo (also spelled “phyllo”) dough, Gibanica ― A traditional Balkan pastry dish, usually made with white cheese, now popular throughout the Balkans. The ballroom of Taj West End adorned a spectacular Slovenian look with Red, Blue and White, being the prominent hues, which also happens to be the country’s national flag colours. The tables were decorated with Red carnation flower ― the national flower of Slovenia Prime Minister Borut Pahor checked into the Tata Suite. Before his arrival, the hotel staff placed several bottles of Redbull along with an exotic array of fruits and nuts.

    The suite also had a ready coffee option to match the prime ministers predilection towards the coffee, nuts and fruits. The suite was aptly dressed for the occasion. The interiors were beautifully draped in the colours of Slovenian national flag. Blue Ginger, the authentic Vietnamese specialty restaurant in Taj West End hosted an exclusive lunch for the Prime Minister, the menu was specially primed by Chef Kuan and Executive chef Sandip Narang to match the occasion. On offer was fresh rice paper tolls with Tofu and vegetable along with grilled chicken pandana and frsh Coconut prawns with chilly plum sauce in the appetizers section. The Corn Kernel Tofu soup and green papaya salad was much loved appreciated by the visiting PM. The main course consisted of delectable Wok tossed soft shell crab in basil black bean sauce, stir fried chicken with Ginger and Cashew nut, Stir fried lamb with mint and chilly with interesting options in vegetarian dishes.

    The PM was completely indulgent when it came to the desserts. The Rose Petal ice cream was a huge hit with the coveted guest. With this visit, the Taj West End, Bangalore is proud to be recognized as one of the sought after address for head of states, world famous celebrities, dignitaries and etc in the city of Bangalore. “Tata Suite ” in The Taj West End, Bangalore is address to the epitome of luxury in India.
