Mumbai :  Hindoostan Mills and Infosys were the winners at second qualifier round of TAKE Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge 2013. The runner-up teams include Spica Elastic and RGD&A. The first qualifier round was held in Bangalore, at the Eagleton Golf Village. The next qualifier round will be held on January 11th, 2014 at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club, Kolkata.

The second qualifier round that was set at Aamby Valley, Lonavla, Pune saw Riaz Batliwala and Kushal Thakersay from Hindoostan Mills emerge as winners on Day 1. During Day 2 of the tournament; Charanjeet Bedi and Aditya Pusalakar from Infosys exhibited a striking balance and tempo that helped them win the trophy. The runner up teams from day 1 and day 2 includes: Team Spica Elastic comprising of Manish Jaitha and Manisha Jaitha; Team RGD&A comprising of Rahul Divan and Akshay Kilachand respectively.

The other qualifier rounds are scheduled at Kolkata and New Delhi followed by the National Finals. The grand finale – the world finals of World Corporate Golf Challenge will be held in Spain in the month of July 2014.

‘Beat the pro’ contest:

‘Beat the pro’ Contest was a special event held at the 2nd qualifier round of the TAKE Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge, at Aamby Valley, Lonavla. The contest gave corporate teams a unique chance to compete with professional golfers SSP Chowrasia and Khalin Joshi.

SSP Chowrasia, a two time winner of the European tour and Khalin Joshi, who recently turned Pro gave the golfers the real taste of professional golfing.

Speaking at the event, SSP Chowrasia, the professional golfer said, “I’m delighted to be a part of the ninth edition of this prestigious corporate golfing tour. TAKE Solutions’ commitment towards corporate golfing is highly commendable.”

On Day 1, Jangoo Mistry from Aamby Valley was declared winner after his professional rendezvous with SSP Chowrasia. Similarly, on Day 2, Aditya Pusalakar from RA India who competed against Khalin Joshi was declared, the winner.

This multi city event is the only corporate golfing event in the country which gives Indian corporate teams a unique opportunity to represent their country in the annual World Golf Championship. The other qualifier rounds are scheduled at Kolkata and New Delhi followed by the National Finals.
