The objective of this initiative is to help candidates assess themselves for job readiness and build a platform to bring jobseekers & employers together, thereby taking a step ahead in bridging the skill gap across industries.
According to Mr. Subhankar Bhattacharya, East Divisional Head at IIJT Education, “Unemployment and un-employability are the two major issues in are our country. An integrated approach, adopted by such initiatives that bring together job seekers and employers to link the demand and supply of manpower will certainly help bridge this gap.”
The job fair was held in Kolkata, Contai, Uluberia, Domjur, Barasat, Sinthee, Darbhanga and Silchar.
130 Candidates appeared in Kolkata and 50 have been shortlisted
60 Candidates appeared in Contai and 25 have been shortlisted
20 Candidates appeared in Uluberia and 7 have been shortlisted
20 Candidates appeared in Domjur and 7 have been shortlisted
65 Candidates appeared in Barasat and 25 have been shortlisted
60 Candidates appeared in Sinthee and 30 have been shortlisted
75 Candidates appeared in Darbhanga and 35 have been shortlisted
30 Candidates appeared in Silchar and 15 have been shortlisted
The candidates got the opportunity to go through assessment and employability evaluation conducted by experienced IIJT faculty and career counsellors.
