In Telangana, at least 28 persons were killed and several others injured when a bus rolled off the Kondagattu Ghat 
road in Jagityal district a short while ago. It is feared that the death toll will increase. The injured are being shifted to hospital. Rescue operations are underway.
According to initial reports, the bus was over crowded and lost control while travelling on the hillock. The Hanuman Temple of Kondagattu is famous among the people in the region and attracts a large number of pilgrims.
District collector Sharat and Superintendent of Police, Sindhu Sharma reached the spot and are overseeing the rescue operations. More details are awaited.
