  • Mumbai: Terribly Tiny Tales, a social media enabled platform that publishes really small stories, celebrated Independence Day doing what they do best. The much celebrated storytelling platform published tweet-sized tales in not just one, but ten different Indian languages on their ever-growing Facebook and Instagram pages.

    TTTA property of Not Like That, Terribly Tiny Tales, has a massive fan following of over 2, 26, 000 avid readers. This story-telling platform publishes one tweet-sized story, which is a story that comprises of less than 140 characters, everyday.

    TTT, as it is popularly known, was also at Malhar, the annual inter-collegiate festival of St. Xavier’s College. It made its first shift offline by selling postcards and posters carrying some of its most memorable tales crafted by its team of eighteen writers . Fans from all over the country showed up to experience TTT’s first offline gig.

    On 15th August, Terribly Tiny Tales published stories in ten different Indian languages along with their English transcreation. The first tale to go up was in Hindi followed by  Kannada, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, English, Tamil, Assamese, Marathi and Urdu. The tales in different languages not only pleasantly surprised the readers but also instilled a sense of national pride in their hearts.

    “Stories have the ability to move people. Couple that with bite-sized storytelling to suit the modern day reader, along with the power and flavour of regional Indian languages, and you get an idea that was just waiting to happen on a day like this. Of course there were many challenges, but we partnered the right people to bring it alive in time. And thankfully, it touched the right chord with our readers.”, commented Chintan Ruparel, Co-founder, Terribly Tiny Tales.

    The fine art of transcreation was looked over by Manohar Nayak of Lingo India and typography assistance was provided by Vikram Gaikwad.
