  • Hyderabad: Telangana Facilities Management Council(TFMC), Facilities Management professional body signed a MoU(Memorandum of Understanding) with NITHM(The National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality

    Management) is an Indian hospitality university here in Hyderabad. In a small function held at the college,  Mr Chinnam Reddy, Principal of NITHM and  Mr Satyanarayana Mathala, President of TFMC signed an agreement and  exchanged the same.

    The MOU is singed by both the organisaitons to groom next Generation Facilities Management professionals shares Satyanarayana Mathala in a press note issued here in the city today.  Creating Next Generation Facilities Managment

    Professionals is part of TMCS plans for the year. Accordingly, we chose NITHM informed Satyanarayana Mathala.

    Giving more details, Satyanarayana Mathala shared that through this program we will place hundreds of students in the IT/ITES Compines by giving them internships and placing as a Facilites executive, Assistant Manager in the field of

    Facilites Management. We are conducting monthly workshops in the college to groom them to reach the client expectations

    NITHM is in close proximity to the famed Hi-tec City, software MNCs like Microsoft, Infosys, Wipro. It is a very premier body.  It is joinly established by Government of India and State Government.  It has a 30 acre campus. It offers MBA, BBA

    and (Tourism & Hospitality) and B.Sc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration.  These students while pursuing their Tourism, Hospitality and Hotel Administration can also be simultaneously groomed for Facilities Management roles.  So that their careerscope widens and Facilities Management and ITeS industry also gets a job ready professionals. It will be a win win situation to all the organisations, added, Mr. Chinnam Reddy, Principal of NITHM.

    Facilities management, states Satyanarayana Mathala is a wide-ranging industry.  It is in demand always.  It also provides competitive wages..  Also known as FM, facilities management is a combination of many disciplines.  These include  maintain and balance the supply and demand of services, supplies, and equipment for organizations. The goal of FMs is to increase an organization’s efficiency and support its vital activities. According to the International Facilities

    Management Association (IFMA), this interdisciplinary practice “considers the coordination of people, place, process, and technology.” Facilities management is necessary both for public organizations like Government, private IT organizations, businesses and others

    In the words of Jayesh Ranajan, Principal Secretary, Govt of Telangana who spoke at TFMC 7th summit in the recent past, Facility Management Professionals play an important role in keeping brand value of Hyderabad

    FM is a 24×7 and 365 day job. It is a every challenging job. In one word it is a “Chowkidaar” job said one of the FM professionals. FMs are enablers, they are go getters, they are all rounders said some participants. We are faceless professionals.

    We do a thankless job added a FM. But it is now becoming more and more professional, he added. FMs plays a mom and dad role to the employees at their work place informed another member of TFMC.

    Facilities Management is critical to the competitiveness, efficiency, and profitability of an organization, a role that was largely overlooked in the past when Facility Management was seen overwhelmingly as a mere support function

    The hospitality implies warmth, respect and protection.  It is about receiving guests in a spirit of goodwill—especially strangers from other lands. Hospitality in the recent past expanded its defined roles expanded to other segments such as restaurants, hotels, hostels, guest houses, entertainment, sporting event, cruises and what not.
