Mumbai :Kids India is a springboard into the Indian growth market for manufacturers around the globe. The trade fair takes place in Mumbai for the third time from 24 to 26 September 2015. 52 exhibitors from India have already registered for Kids India, 48 of them have already exhibited at Kids India before. One fifth of the world’s population under 25 lives in India. The country has the second highest population in the world – of which more than quarter is under the age of 14. India’s major potential for toy manufacturers is reflected in Kids India’s growth curve. Last year it increased its exhibition space appreciably from 6,200 m² to 8,700 m² with 10 percent more visitors. Around 5,700 trade visitors flocked to the fair to find out about new products from a total of 153 exhibitors. The trade fair has thus not only established itself on the Indian market, but has also become the largest trade fair of its kind in India.

Shree Narayan Sabharwal, Business Head India from Simba Toys Middle East / India explains why the trade fair is so important for his company: “We were very excited about the second edition of Kids India as it is a great opportunity to showcase our products and also understand the current trends and nuances of the Indian toy sector. We had a tremendous turnout of visitors and business inquiries this year as well. The quality of the event was excellent and participation was above our expectations with many international brands being present at the fair. Also it helped that the exhibition is in September which is a very good period to reach out to potential distributors because it is closer to Diwali. Needless to say we are already looking forward to the next edition.” Rajesh Vohra, CEO of Artsana India confirms the quality of the trade fair: “Kids India is one of the finest toy fairs that was organised in only its second edition last year. We met with both, buyers and manufacturers from across the country along with a few global participants as well. It has been a great exposure for the brand and we are looking forward to a long term association and an even bigger participation this year”,

Kids India is organized by Spielwarenmesse eG with support from the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC). Their partners are the Sports Goods Export Promotion Council (SGEPC) and The All India Toy Manufacturers’ Association (TAITMA).
