The Boys showrunner, Eric Kripke and Karl Urban aka Billy Butcher, share their excitement about Season 4 of the series

It’s been seven spectacular episodes so far as The Boys on Prime Video has left fans on the edge of the seat. The best seems to be saved for the last as the much-awaited finale is all set to drop on July 8. With season 4 confirmed by the makers last month, Karl Urban aka the brilliant, yet barbaric, Billy Butcher, has hinted at progress on its development.

An elated Karl Urban talks about how thrilled he is for the next season. He says “We’re going to be starting season four. So I’m getting back, getting my Butcher back on, and I can’t wait. It’s a fun gang to play with, we work hard and play hard, and I can’t wait to see where they take the characters from where we leave them at the end of this season.”

He also reveals that though he knows when the production of the brand-new array of episodes begins, he doesn’t know much about the developing storyline. He says, “We’re about two months away from filming, and I have no idea. So that’ll tell you something, but yeah, not too far away.”

He continues, “I’m actually going to be seeing [Eric] Kripke next week and I expect conversations will start to happen about what he’s got in store. I like to give them the respect of being able to do their writing process and not be harassed by actors going: ‘What are we doing?’ But I can’t wait. They always come up with insane stuff, so yeah, it’s going to be fun.”

Eric Kripke, the showrunner of the series, also expresses his joy that the cast and crew will be able to further explore the series’ creative world in the upcoming season. “Speaking for the cast and crew, we’re so grateful to Sony, Amazon, and most of all the fans for embracing the show and allowing us to make more. We’re thrilled to continue Butcher and The Boys’ fight against Homelander and the Seven, as well as comment on the insane world we’re living in.”

The first seven episodes of The Boys Season 3 are now streaming on Prime Video. New episodes of the series release weekly on Fridays, with the season finale being just a few days away. It is available in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
