The EMAK Festoon Silent Heroes Awards-24 Concludes at Le Méridien, Kochi

 Kochi :  The fifth edition of the EMAK Festoon Silent Heroes Awards organized by the Event Management Association of Kerala (EMAK) concluded at Le Méridien, Kochi. Loknath Behra IPS, Former DGP, and Managing Director of Kochi Metro Rail Limited was the Chief Guest of the programme.   

“Event managers in Kerala are known for their innovative and unique approaches. The events they organize showcase new and distinctive concepts, setting them apart,’ said Loknath Behra IPS, inaugurating the event. The field of event management is rapidly evolving, embracing technology like virtual reality. To succeed in this dynamic industry, one must stay ahead of the curve. He added.

Lifetime Achievement Award of the EMAK Festoon Silent Heroes Awards-24 was for M.V. Shreyams Kumar, former Rajya Sabha MP & MLA, and Managing Director of the Mathrubhumi Printing & Publishing Company Ltd for his exceptional contributions to media and events.

“This is where we continue to grow and aspire for further growth. We need a well-informed society enriched with wonderful events,” stated Mayura Shreyams Kumar, daughter of M. V. Shreyams Kumar and Director of Digital Business at Mathrubhumi Printing & Publishing Company Limited. She added, “When people come together, great things happen,” quoting M.V. Shreyams Kumar, while accepting the award on behalf of M. V. Shreyams Kumar.

Among the 350+ entries that were received, Gold medal winners were announced in 60 categories. Along with these, Silver and Bronze medal winners were also announced, based on evaluations of a 14-member jury of industry experts from across the country. The 60 categories were classified under 5 heads: Event Decor and Production, Technical Support & Solutions, Entertainment Design, Venue and Catering Solutions, and Personalised Solutions. 

“Silent Heroes Awards celebrates the silent heroes behind every event, and recognize their efforts. The awards have become a prestigious platform that celebrates their hard work, creativity, and innovation in the state,” said Raju Kannampuzha, President, Event Management Association of Kerala.

The event was a fantastic networking opportunity for professionals in events and allied industries and featured a B2B Expo, knowledge sessions, keynotes, panel discussions, awards, and entertainment. The knowledge session held as part of the event was inaugurated by K.J Maxi MLA.  The event concluded with music and dance performances followed by grand dinner.
