On 8th September 2021, The Heritage Academy Kolkata organized its induction and orientation programme ‘Convergence’ for its new batch of students for the session 2021-24 virtually. The inaugural session of the programme was addressed by Prof. N.R. Banerjea, Former Vice Chancellor, BESU (currently known as IIEST, Shibpur) as the Chief Guest followed by Mr. Dhruba Mukherjee, CEO, ABP Pvt. Ltd. as the Guest of Honour. During the event, Prof. Banerjea stressed on the quotation of Swami Vivekanada which says ” Education is the manifestation of the perfection already present in man” citing an example to the young minds where education is something which is there within the students, the College acts as a facilitator to inculcate the curiosity among the students to learn something new.
Mr. Dhruba Mukherjee spoke about the three qualities which today’s youth should possess which are ability to manage contextual complexities, stakeholders interest and self confidence and integrity. These qualities are very much needed in the current situation and moreover the behavioural output one needs to balance with patience.
The programme also witnessed the presence of Mr. Pradip Agarwal, CEO, Heritage Group of Institutions, Prof. Gour Banerjee, Principal, The Heritage Academy, Prof. Madhupa Bakshi, Dean, Department of Media Science, The Heritage Academy and other faculty and staff members. Convergence-2021 will continue for a few more days and it will be addressed by experts from the Industry as well as from the Media sector. More than 200 students and parents attended the virtual programme.
