DJ Trishina (Trishina Kirpalani) is a young, multi-genre DJ based in Mumbai.

DJ Trishina was exposed to many different genres of music from a very young age as she came from a family of music lovers. She grew up making playlists, CDs, and mixtapes for her friends and playing music at all the high school parties. Having had more interest in music than anything else, she dedicated more time to making these playlists than she ever did with her studies. From this little obsession of serving the best music to her friends, Trishina decided to take the responsibility of reaching a wider audience. She realized her dream at the age of 15 after which, at the age of 16, she became a certified DJ under ‘The Music Inc.’ She aspires to make a mark in the world as India’s youngest and biggest female DJ.

Apart from her love and passion for music, she considers it a form of therapy for herself. Trishina was diagnosed with anxiety at a very young age after losing her father. In those times, it was tough for her to find a way out. Music for her was the light at the end of the tunnel. She realized that the place she feels the most at ease is when she’s on the console – that’s when nothing else matters to her. She believes there’s no better feeling than being able to control a crowd and having the entire club vibe with your music. Her favorite view is one from behind the console; blinding lights, smoke machines, pulsing beats, the crowd going wild, and her orchestrating it all. She says it’s the most powerful feeling in the world. Similarly, she plans to heal people through her performances and songs the way she healed herself. DJ Trishina then became a certified Music Producer at 20 years old. Her specialty is producing music with a fusion – by making mashups and remixes of songs of 2 different genres at once.

DJ Trishina currently holds the record of “Youngest Female DJ in India” and has played over 300 gigs across the country, making her the highest achieving female DJ nationally at a very young age. Her achievements in these few years have been massive & inspiring.

DJ Trishina played as the youngest Resident DJ in Mumbai at age 21. She has collaborated with Hungama, Humans of Bombay & Durex, and has made a presence in multiple interviews. She became a published author at age 19 when she published a book called “Smoke and Mirrors,” in which she wrote in detail about her journey as a DJ and more. The young prodigy is grateful to her parents, teacher & audience for always supporting her to be at the level she’s at today. Not only this, but she also plans to hone her skills with every next song. DJ Trishina is an inspiration to today’s generation. She has proved that women can achieve anything if they dedicate themselves to their profession.
