  • The Peabody Companies a group of award-winning property management and real estate firms, announces its participation in an October 16th event for building owners and tenants who are having difficulty paying rent and mortgages due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The workshop, hosted by the Greater Boston Real Estate Board (GBREB) and Metro Housing/Boston, will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday October 16th at the Community Room opposite Roxbury Crossing MBTA Station at 1411 Tremont Street in Boston.

Families and individuals living in areas served by the GBREB and Metro Housing who earn less than 80% of median income and have fallen behind on their rent or mortgage payments as a result of COVID-19 may be eligible for an emergency assistance payment for up to 18 months of rent. However, many who are eligible might not be aware of or unable to complete an application without assistance.

Those who have pre-registered and attend the October 16th workshop will meet with a trained volunteer who will assist in preparing and electronically submitting an application. All attendees will be required to wear masks.

Pre-registration is necessary by Wednesday, October 13th.
