All farm and agriculture based start ups and agripreneurs look at agriculture as an opportunity for business. This in back drop: 1. Startup or agripreneur success is a function of solutions to issues, concerns and problems of farmers, farming community 2. Scale, size and volume are critical for successful model 3. Can here be a solution like ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning/Programming) 4. Data says more than 88% are small and marginal farmers 5. Total Net sown area is about 141 million hectares 6. About 17 crores (170 million) marginal and small farmers owning 100 million hectares f totally land under cultivation (Net Sown area). 7. Agriculture is perceived as loss making profession unless periodic loan waivers and untenable subsidies are part of agri economy/production system/agri eco system. 8. To make agriculture economically viable, profitable, professional and attractive profession / occupation where 88% are marginal and small farmers where in Farmers’ per capita income is less than Rs.7000/- (In this direct farm income is less thanRs. 45000/-). Innovators, venture capitalists, Startups etc. shall focus on solving issues and problems 2. The vision shal be at least 2 unicorns per year.
