The Westin Mumbai Garden City Laces Up For Asia Pacific Charity Campaign ‘Runwestin. Work Out. Do Good.’

Mumbai  : Today, The Westin Mumbai Garden City kicks off the Asia Pacific rollout of Westin Hotels & Resorts’ ‘runWESTIN™. Work Out. Do Good.’ charity drive in Asia Pacific, a charitable endeavor that encourages guests to keep fit, walking or running for a good cause. The Westin Mumbai is among 35 Westin properties in the region, from Singapore to Tokyo, that are participating in this campaign, embracing the brand’s ongoing commitment to making fitness convenient for travelers.

‘runWESTIN. Work Out. Do Good.’ spotlights Westin’s breakthrough gear lending program with New Balance. Launched globally in November 2012, the program eliminates the hassle of packing gear, which can be a key barrier to working out while traveling. For just a nominal fee, guests can borrow New Balance running shoes with disposable insoles, as well as a variety of New Balance apparel, including shorts, shirts and socks. In addition, the program extends to the provision of a 5-8km running route map, so guests can combine their workout routine with fresh air and local scenery.

From now until 30 April 2014, The Westin Mumbai will donate a pair of New Balance shoes to Soles4Souls, a charity organization that provides shoes to those in need, for every 20 guests who lend New Balance gear or use runWESTIN running route map. Participating guests will also be invited to write a personalized message to the donation beneficiaries, and be eligible to win New Balance running shoes.

“We are delighted to launch the ‘runWESTIN. Work Out. Do Good.’ campaign at The Westin Mumbai, offering a holistic fitness solution designed for travelers to leave the hotel feeling better than when they first arrived,” said Mr. Anuraag Bhatnagar, Area General Manager The Westin Mumbai Garden City. “In addition, the campaign provides guests with opportunities to share their passion for running and healthy living, transforming their stay into a revitalizing experience for both body and soul.”
