  • jatGurgaon : In Haryana, curfew has been imposed in view of Jat stir in Rohtak and Bhiwani and shoot at sight has been ordered after mob set on fire a toll Plaza at Rohtak and looted arms from a gun house. The agitators also set on fire the Jhajhar Police Chowki, house of Haryana Finance Minister Captain Abhimanyu and office of Rohtak IG Police. The protesters have also stopped water supply from Haryana to Delhi. The schools and colleges have been closed till Monday. Army has been called in nine districts of the state to control the situation. Internet and mobile service has been also been blocked.

    Due to stir, 72 trains have been cancelled. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Manohar Lal has said that he is ready for talks with agitators. The State government may bring a bill for the Jat Aarakshan in the coming Assembly Session.

    Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh Friday appealed the people to maintain peace and order in the State. In a tweet, Mr Singh said that the incident of violence is very unfortunate. He said, in a democracy, a solution to any problem lies in discussion and dialogue.
