Admissions open for six-month program

Mumbai : Times Professional Learning, one of India’s leading education providers for students, young professionals and executives, has announced an online Certificate Program in Machine Learning, as a part of the ongoing collaboration between their vertical, Times TSW, and IIT-Roorkee. The course is designed to train professionals in one of the industry’s most sought-after technological skills and help accelerate their careers.

To be eligible, an applicant must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum 50% aggregate score and two years of working experience. Knowledge of Python programming is a prerequisite. Machine-learning algorithms use statistics to find patterns in massive* amounts of data. And data, here, encompasses a lot of things—numbers, words, images, clicks, what have you. If it can be digitally stored, it can be fed into a machine-learning algorithm.

The certificate program by Times Professional Learning and IIT-Roorkee is designed for working professionals from various fields. It will help them unlock the value of corporate

and customer data, and enact the decisions that keep their company ahead of the competition.

The six-month-long program will involve 68 hours of live online sessions by Prof. Partha Pratim Roy, Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT-Roorkee and industry experts. With 26 hours of immersive project work, the program also provides learners an opportunity to put concepts to practice. Candidates who complete the program successfully will receive a certificate from Continuing Education Centre IIT-Roorkee.
