The Tamil Nadu government has reserved 25 per cent of the seats in private schools and non-minority self-financing schools for poor children at the primary level of entry. These schools had been

asked to distribute applications from today. Official sources said the applications should be filled and submitted before May 11. If the number of applications were more than the prescribed 25 per cent, then the children would selected on lot basis, officials said.
