Short listed from over thousand restaurants across India by evaluating various media in the public domain, a lifestyle channel honoured top restaurants and chefs at a grand event in Gurgaon recently.
The first-ever food awards by NDTV Good Times- country’s first lifestyle channel, was attended by food enthusiasts from across the country. The winners were selected by a reputed jury comprising of Television Anchor Vinod Dua, popular Chef Ritu Dalmia, Food impresario Marut Sikka, Anchor & Chef Aditya Bal, Vicky Ratnani and Rocky & Mayur – of the famed television food series – ‘Highway On My Plate’.
‘Indians are a passionate lot and few things unite us more than our common passion for food. Our channel has promoted a wide range of food shows spanning cuisines, social strata and tastes. The aim of our Food Awards is to celebrate this insatiable appetite for food and acknowledge those who delight us with their extraordinary culinary efforts,’ Smeeta Chakrabarti, CEO, NDTV Lifestyle said.

Sufi singer Shafqat Amanat Ali, from Pakistan enthralled the audience, while Rocky & Mayur, hosted the evening with their trademark humour and everlasting camaraderie, besides giving a sneak peak of the new book that is being released on the lines of their hugely successful food show.
