Torch Light Procession against Constitution Schedule Tribe (Amendment) Bill at Haflong

Haflong : Demanding Immediate Withdrawal of the Constitution Schedule Tribe (Amendment) Bill 2019 and to Stop granting ST Status to Advanced and populous 6 (Six) Communities of Assam Torch Light Procession was organised 
by the Hills Tribe Students Association (DSU/HSA/ABSATSA/HKSA/KSU/KSA) in association with CCTOA yesterday evening.
The procession led by President , HTSA Pramith Sengyung along with students leaders was started from Haflong Municipal Board Field popularly known as Lal Field marched through Haflong Town up to Council rotary and to Synod Rotary and converged at the Lal field again.
Terming the Constitution Schedule Tribe (Amendment) Bill 2019 as unfortunate Sengyung said they would be compelled to launch greater democratic agitation if the government fails to pay heed to their appeal.
They were shouting the slogans like ‘Tribal unity Long Live’, ‘Save Tribal save Assam’ etc. etc.
