  • Tourism Malaysia Chennai Organised A Langkawi Sop Briefing Session And Appreciated Travel Associations For The Support With The Slogan, “Coming Back Stronger”

    HYDERABAD –Tourism Malaysia, Chennaiorganised a Langkawi sop briefing session and appreciated the Travel Associations at Hyderabad with a Memento being presented by Mr. Razaidi Abdul Rahim, the Director of Tourism Malaysia for South India & SriLanka to Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI), Tours and Travels Association of Andhra (TTAA), Tour Operators Association of Telangana (TOAT), SKAL International, SIGTOA-South India Global Tour Operations Association and Tourism & Mice Committee – Federation of Telangana Chamber Of Commerce And Industries (FTCCI).

    Mr. Razaidi Abdul Rahim, inaugurated the event with the slogan, “Coming Back Stronger”.  Malaysia will allow entry of fully vaccinated Foreign tourists into Langkawi without quarantine after travellers being able to give negative RT-PCR Test. This event saw the presence of the decision makers from the Travel Trade, Travel Trade Associations, Officials from Tourism Malaysia, Malaysia Airlines, Resorts World Genting and Media.

    The Networking Appreciation Session is tothank the travel partners in maintaining India as main potential market for the country and being in the top 10 Tourists arrival contribution to Malaysia.

    Tourism in Malaysia has been doing well with good arrivals and tourism development before the pandemic and in Malaysia currently out of the total adult population, as of 22 November 2021, 95.7% have been fully vaccinated.

    The event also showcased on Resorts World Genting (RWG), which is Malaysia’s Premier integrated resort destination featuring wide ranging leisure and entertainment facilities including Gaming, Theme Park, Amusement attractions, International shows, Business Convention Facilities, Dining and Retail outlets. Genting Highlands Premium outlets (a joint venture between Genting Plantations Berhad and Simon Property Group) at the mid hill further complements the various attractions. Additionally, Genting Skyworlds Outdoor Theme Park will add to RWG’s extensive entertainment offerings upon completion.

    Mr. Razaidi Abdul Rahim, Director of Tourism Malaysia (South India & SriLanka) stated that, “Glad to inform that Langkawi International Travel Bubble is effective for India from 15th November 2021, as it is one of the approved countries, with the vaccination Covishield and Covaxin being allowed for entry into Langkawi.
