  • In most men, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) develops slowly over time, so every man should know the pros and cons of the treatment offered.

Urologists prescribe a long-term course of BPH drugs or prostate surgeries, which can cause serious side effects, i.e. “cons”, including retrograde ejaculation, impotence, depression and diabetes. Currently, natural treatment with Dr Allen’s device provides remarkable efficacy by reducing the size of an enlarged prostate and relieving lower urinary tract (LUTS) symptoms.

Thermobalancing therapy® with Dr Allen’s Device has only “pros”, as it provides non-invasive, drug-free method of treating prostate enlargement, which is patented in the United States.  Thus, Dr Allen’s Device is good news for enlarged prostate sufferers.

The incidence of LUTS worsen with age. BPH affects about 50% of men aged 51 to 60 and up to 90% of men over 80. For instance, in the United States alone, more than 14 million men have BPH-related LUTS. So, millions of men with prostate enlargement are given BPH drugs to be taken over a prolonged period of time. But do men really benefit from a BPH drug treatment in the long term?

Professor Traish from Boston University School of Medicine has investigated very common drugs Proscar (Finasteride) or Avodart (Dutsteride) for men with BPH. He concludes that it has a negative impact on men’s overall health since it increases blood sugar and blood lipids. This finding confirms that this expensive medicine can be responsible for diabetes and heart attack.

Previously known side effects of Avodart include sexual problems (such as decreased sexual interest and ability, decrease in the amount of semen/sperm released during sex); impotence (trouble getting or keeping an erection); testicle pain or swelling; increased breast size, or breast tenderness. Overall, there is enough disturbing evidence for men to wish to stay away from prostate drugs.

Surgical procedures for men with enlarged prostate also have many nasty complications and life-long side effects and should only be accepted as the treatment of last resort. In most cases, moreover, there is no urgent need for men to undergo a BPH surgery.

A clinical trial involving 124 men with BPH, to whom the therapeutic Dr Allen’s Device was administered as a monotherapy, has confirmed the effectiveness and safety of Thermobalancing therapy®. Thoroughly examined, before and after a 6-month treatment period, the patients reported a significant improvement to LUTS. In contrast, in the control group of other 124 men, patients’ clinical characteristics and parameters have worsened.

The outcomes are published in a leading peer-reviewed medical journals. The Aging Male Journal published the article titled “Use of Thermobalancing therapy in ageing male with benign prostatic hyperplasia with a focus on etiology and pathophysiology”, which explains that Dr Allen’s Device treats the cause of BPH.

Another scientific article: Innovative Thermobalancing therapy and Dr Allen’s Device for the first time employ body energy to treat chronic prostatic diseases effectively, https://link.springer.com/article/10.1186/s40887-020-00035-0, shows how Dr Allen’s Device reduces the size of enlarged or inflamed prostate gland, relieving chronic pelvic pain and LUTS.
