  • United States : TruePosition, Inc., a leading provider of wireless location technologies and solutions and a subsidiary of Liberty Media Corporation, today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has awarded TruePosition its latest patent called, “Advanced Triggers for Location-Based Service Applications in a Wireless Location System” (United States Patent Number 7,783,299 B2). Advanced triggers allow mobile network operators to quickly and easily offer new classes of mission-critical location-based safety and security solutions. By using passive probes, mobile network operators can set the TruePosition Location Platform™ to use any mobile phone network event or subscriber identity as a trigger for an immediate network-based wireless location.

    This patented technology is a critical part of the TruePosition Location Platform, which is used for mission-critical location-based safety and security solutions.

    “This patent will enable TruePosition to provide new features for our government and enterprise customers worldwide,” noted Stephen Stuut, Chief Executive Officer for TruePosition. “It is very comprehensive in its scope and it is strategically important for TruePosition.”
