Tuliram Ronghang took the reins from 17th October 2013 as the chief Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC). It’s an autonomous region in Assam, India created under the provision of the Sixth Schedule to the Constitution of India. 

Tuliram Ronghang also currently serves as the President of Assam Badminton Association and Vice President of Olympic Association, Assam. He is also president of Karbi Anglong Sport Association. Being a sports enthusiast, he always wanted to work for upcoming sport talents, guiding them, providing the perfect platform, working hard to gain recognition of his district and Assam for Olympic Sports across the country. Along with sports he is also an enthusiastic fitness lover. He is one of the renowned political personality of  Assam. Being a politician he has done countless efforts for development in infrastructure, education, sports, and welfare of people. During the corona virus pandemic he helped thousands of migrant workers stranded across the country through his personal efforts spending over Two Crores rupees.

The nationwide lockdowns let to people losing their jobs and businesses. He is knowned to have helped financially to every people he came across. His work was much appreciated by the people and blessed him for his noble cause.

His work is widely known across the state of Assam as a result of which the Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma recently accorded Chief Tuliram Ronghang with Cabinet Status in Assam Government.
