Mumbai : TÜV Rheinland India Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of the Germany based TÜV Rheinland Group, a worldwide leader in Testing, Training, Inspection, Consulting and Certification, has announced the appointment of Thomas Fuhrmann as its CEO & Managing Director. In his new position, Thomas Fuhrmann will lead the Management Team in consolidating current operations of TUV Rheinland India and oversee speedy growth and expansion in the Indian market.
Fuhrmann has been associated with TÜV Rheinland Group for the past 18 years. Prior to taking on his current position, Thomas Fuhrmann was based in China, where he had been serving as the Director Industrial Services of TÜV Rheinland Group Greater China & Asia Pacific. In this role, Fuhrmann was mainly responsible for the business development of Industrial Services as Environmental and Energy Efficiency service, Renewable Energy service, Material Testing service, Pressure Equipment Safety, Elevator, Conveyor, and Machinery Technology testing, Explosion-Protection Equipment testing, Functional Safety service and Supply Chain service in Greater China and Asia-Pacific.
Fuhrmann brings with him more than 3 decades of rich and diverse international experience in the Energy Efficiency industry as well as from the Manufacturing industry. In his earlier assignments, he has served in various senior managerial and top leadership roles not only in TÜV Rheinland Group but also in other companies spread across boundaries.
