Mumbai: — Chef Vineet Bhatia returns to Ziya, The Oberoi, Mumbai from July 1 to 4, 2011. During this time, he will introduce new seven-course Gourmand menus (vegetarian and non-vegetarian), along with contemporary a la carte preparations.
Chef Vineet Bhatia will present an innovative selection of new menu items, with appetizers such as Mushroom Galauti Kabab, pan grilled minced mushroom kababs with masala chilli-baby corn and achari mayo; Lamb Trio, Keralan lamb bhuna with pine nut crusted tandoori lamb chop, Shikampuri kebab and tandoori potato chaat; andTamatari samosa – Kathal Nariyal tikki, Samosa’s filled with sundried tomato, potatoes, peas, coconut crusted jackfruit tikki and chonka dahi -lasuni chutney.
Main courses will include Matka Chicken, pot enclosed braised chicken masala with chilli rice, kachumber raita, and mathi sticks; Smoked Lamb Fillet, spice grilled lamb fillet with dosa potatoes, and garam masala lamb jus with corn kernels; and Bharwan Baingan,baby aubergines spiced with tangy peanut masala, caramelised onion and mustard upma along with amti daal.
Guests can choose from Santra Kheer – Rasmalai, orange-almond kheer, crowned with rasmalai and chocolate rabdi or Mousse Jugalbandi, Madras coffee-hazelnut mousse, pudina-pistachio mousse, with granola crumbs, and Baileys ice cream, for a sweet ending.
