  • Two injured in shelling by Pakistan Army in J&K’s Rajouri district

    In Jammu & Kashmir, two members of a family, including a 10 year old girl, were injured in overnight shelling by the Pakistan Army along the Line of Control in Rajouri district. Defence sources said, a mortar shell from across the border hit a residential house in village Lambhari along LoC in Noushera sector of Rajouri district, resulting in injuries to two persons. The injured were rescued by a police party and shifted to district hospital Rajouri.

    The Pakistani Army shelled forward villages in the Noushera sector besides Balakote and Mendhar sectors in nearby Poonch district late yesterday. Pakistani rangers also shelled areas along the International Border in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district. Indian Army retaliated and the cross border shelling between the two sides continued intermittently for several hours.
