    Kokrajhar: Two more special train carrying people stranded in various parts of the country reaches Assam today.

    The first train- New Delhi-Dibrugarh special train reached Kokrajhar around 5.50 pm where 46 passengers from various Lower Assam districts get down at Kokrajhar. The passengers include 4 from Kokrajhar, 7 from Chirang, 26 from Barpeta, 2 from Bongaigaon, and seven belongs to Dhubri district

    The second Shramik Special train from Chennai to Bhairabi arrived Kokrajhar around 8.15 pm where 28 passengers de-boarded at Kokrajhar. The passenger includes 7 from Kokrajhar, 5 from Bongaigaon, 13 from Chirang and 3 from Dhubri district.

    All the passengers done initial screening and thermal temperature testing and the baggage sanitized before taken to the quarantine facilities in the respective district.

    It is to be mention that the first New Delhi-Dibrugarh special train reached Assam where a total 29 passengers de-boarded at Kokrajhar railway station yesterday.

    The state government had requested the Union Ministry of Railways to arrange 12 trains, including the seven from Delhi, to repatriate people to the state, who were stranded across the country, including south and west India.
