In a sharp action from N C hills Autonomous Council, and acting on specific information two MACs Ratan Jarambusa and Nojit Kemprai raided one house at Zion village and recovered skin and body parts of rare species of deer suspected to be killed recently.

They were informed that few days back a rare variety of deer was killed by some villagers of Zion which totally banned in the district of Dima Hasao.

The persons brought with skin are identified as Pathoi Hrangkhol and K Hrangkhol and were handed over to forest officials along with the skin.

Mention may be made here that, the present executive committee has been dedicatedly committed for the protection of forest, wildlife and the rivers of the district since the forest is the prime source of revenue and for protection of environment this has become must.

The Chief Executive Member, NCHAC Debolal Gorlosa has also expressed concern over the killing of rare and endangered species of wildlife.
