Kokrajhar :  As part of Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of finance, Govt of India ‘customer outreach initiative’, the Customer Outreach programme was organised by the UCO Bank  at Kokrajhar Government Higher Secondary and Multipurpose School ground, in Kokrajhar district with a two days long event on 24 and 25 October 2019.

 

BTC additional principal secretary Robinson Mushahary, Kokajhar Deputy Commissioner Partha Pratim Mazumdar attended  and inaugurated the programme.

 

General manager UCO Bank Head office Kolkata Monish Kumar, Zonal Manager UCO Bank AK Machary were also present among others.

 

All 3 public sector banks, 13 private sector banks operating in the district, apart from NABARD, ASRLM, NULM, DI&CC and SIDBI are participating in the mega event.

 

The Customer Outreach will cover financial awareness, digital banking awareness and all initiatives of the government of India under Financial Inclusion Programme. The event will also focus on women empowerment, entrepreneur development with special emphasis on Make in India, Stand Up India, MSME development, agriculture lending, SHG finance etc.

 

Talking to Reporters, Zonal Manager UCO Bank AK Machary said as part of Department of Financial Services (DFS) customer outreach initiative across the country covering 209 identified districts all over India in the 2nd phase from 21 to 25 October,  will cover 6 district in North East including 5 districts of Assam namely Kokrajhar, Sonitpur, Dhubri, Golaghat and Jorhat.
