Ujala Cygnus Healthcare starts its operations in Srinagar; launches 150-bedded super speciality hospital

New Delhi : J&K Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha, Friday, inaugurated 150-bedded Ujala Cygnus Kashmir Superspeciality Hospital, at Nowgam Srinagar, in the presence of Ujala Cygnus Group of Hospitals’ Executive Chairman Mr Probal Ghosal, Founders & Directors, Ujala Cygnus Group of Hospitals Dr Shuchin Bajaj and Dr Dinesh Batra, and Managing Director, Ujala Cygnus Kashmir Superspeciality Hospital Dr. Pervez Sofi, among other dignitaries.

Fulfilling the goal of providing world-class healthcare services and critical care to people residing in tier II and tier III cities at affordable costs, Ujala Cygnus Group of Hospitals announced the expansion of its operations in the Kashmir valley. The renowned healthcare group has set up its 18th hospital, its first 150-bedded superspeciality hospital in Srinagar, which will also serve communities in Anantnag, Bandipore, Baramulla, Budgam, Kupwara, Pulwama,  Shopian, Kishtwar, Punch, Ramban, Kathua, Rajouri, Ladakh, Leh besides Srinagar.

The new hospital has exceptional secondary and tertiary care facilities in Interventional Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedic and Joint Replacement Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery, Gynaecology, Paediatrics and Neonatology, Internal Medicine, Urology, Rheumatology, OncoSurgery, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastic and Vascular Surgery, Pulmonology, Nephrology, Neurology, 24*7 Trauma and Critical Care. The hospital also includes a state-of-the-art radiology department, round-the-clock pharmacy, labs, and ambulance services. It also has a 24X7 toll-free mental health helpline facility.

The new facility will also strengthen the government’s initiative of ensuring quality healthcare accessible to everyone.

The vision of providing quality services and establishing superspeciality hospitals is also shared by Dr Dinesh Batra who for over three decades has been a key player in major healthcare reforms. Dr Dinesh has also been instrumental in establishing hospitals for Primus Group which include facilities in Abuja and Nigeria.
