UK Football Fans: Man City Most Ambitious And Most Exciting Football In English Premier League

A comprehensive study among English Premier League fans in the UK shows how each club is viewed based on key image attributes. According to data presented by Safe Betting Sites, Manchester City is considered the Premier League’s most ambitious club according to fans of the premier league in the UK and most associated with ‘exciting football’ while Manchester United is viewed as ‘glamorous.’

A recent survey of more than 2500 Premier League fans in the UK showed how fans viewed Premier League clubs based on several key image attributes. Fans of each club as well as a random selection of respondents who at least know the club were asked to list three main characteristics from a set list that can be attributed to their club. One of the more notable results from the survey was that Manchester City was ranked as the most ambitious club with 32% listing it as a main trait of the club.

Chelsea ranked second in the same category with a similar rate at an estimated 32%, while Leicester City was ranked third with a 24% rate. Notably, Manchester City was also ranked as the club that plays the most thrilling/exciting football with 35% of respondents indicating so. Liverpool ranked second in the category with 34% followed by Manchester United at 30%.

Manchester United was ranked as the most glamorous club with a rate of 18%. Chelsea and Manchester City were ranked 2nd and 3rd respectively, with a similar estimated 18% rate.

UK Premier League Fans Believe Leicester City Is ‘Well-Run’; Tottenham ‘Innovative’

Leicester City topped the ranking as the most well-run club with 30% of respondents believing it was a main characteristic of the club. Southampton was ranked second with a rate of 23%. In terms of being associated with ‘innovation,’ Tottenham leads the Premier League, perhaps buoyed by the recent opening of its new world-class stadium.

Liverpool Known As Club Rich In Tradition

In attributes connected to tradition and regional roots of the clubs, Liverpool was ranked as the club most rich in tradition with 41% believing so. Manchester United came second with a rate of 39% while Arsenal is at third with 34%. Newcastle United was ranked as the most regionally rooted club at 35%, followed by Norwich City and Burnley, both at 30%.
