  • Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal attends Vanijya Utsav in Aizawl

    GUWAHATI : Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and AYUSH, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal attended the ‘Vanijya Utsav: Showcasing India as a Rising Economic Force’ in Aizawl, Mizoram via video conference. The Vanijya Utsav is being held as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, commemorating 75 years of India’s Independence. The Union Minister addressed the inaugural session and highlighted the immense economic potential of the frontier state.

    The Union Minister stated that Mizoram, with its huge natural resources, scenic beauty and strategic location is poised for growth and the state will climb greater heights of progress and continue its transformational journey under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Dr R Lalthangliana, Mizoram Industries & Commerce Minister, Department of Commerce representatives from Govt of India and senior Mizoram Govt officials were present in the inaugural session of the Vanijya Utsav.
