
New Delhi: ValuAble, in association with Sarthak Educational Trust, organized a groundbreaking event, the Sarthak-ValuAble Tech4Good Investor Meet, on 8th and 9th December 2023. The two-day event brought together innovators and entrepreneurs dedicated to disability inclusion across three distinctive categories- startups with novel ideas and unique business models, incubation stage ventures requiring funding, and established ventures with ready-made products looking for scalability and growth opportunities.
The first day of the meet revolved around startups and innovators showcasing their innovations around tech-driven assistive devices for disabled people and providing a platform for networking with investors. The second day witnessed the integration of the Sarthak Global Resource Center (GRC), a state-of-the-art facility housing an R&D center and a Global Accessibility Development Center, by Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar in Gurugram, followed by panel discussions on investments and disability.
Rahul Gupta, Founder, and Managing Partner, ValuAble, was the moderator at the event and hosted a discussion on the theme- ‘Bridging investment and innovation in the disability sector’, with a specific focus on positioning assistive technology as the need of the hour. The meet also witnessed the presence of key investors, including Mohit Bhatnagar, Head, Peak XV (Erstwhile Sequoia); Siba Panda, Founder and Managing Partner, ValuAble; Pankaj Gupta, Founder, Gulf Islamic Investments; Mohan Sundaram, Founder, ArtiLab; and Bhavesh Jatania, Head Startup Banking, IDFC First Bank. Additionally, distinguished national and international stakeholders from the Government, corporations, media, academia, NGOs, and other sectors graced the occasion with their presence in a bid to contribute to the disability sector.

The Sarthak-ValuAble Tech4Good Investor Meet was one of the prominent events under the larger umbrella of the 10th National Conference on Disability, jointly organized by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disability, Sarthak Educational Trust, and the National Abilympic Association of India. The conference additionally included an array of enlightening activities- exhibition, the North Zone Regional Abilympics, and Startup Investor Meet, resonating with the core objectives of inclusivity, knowledge dissemination, and fostering synergistic collaboration in the disability market.
